"CRY OF BALINTAWAK"

“CRY OF BALINTAWAK”
The cry of Balintawak is also known as “Cry of Pugad Lawin”.

The cry of Pugad Lawin started when the Spaniards arrested the Katipuneros. So , the katipunero held a meeting at Pugad Lawin. They tore their cedulas and they shouted “Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! Mabuhay ang Kalayaan!”. The Cry of Pugad Lawin symbolize to revolt against the Spaniards.But the fighting stopped and the Governor General declared a martial law in those eight provinces.

When Governor General Basilio Agustin declared a martial law , lots of Filipinos revolts to different part of the country. Because of this the Filipino are very mad and they attacked the Spanish authority. And it result to a battle.

The revolution happened on 1896.
